The health of the colon has a lot to do with the health of the entire body. Most herbalists and natural health practioners agree that death begins in the colon. Many diseases in the body originate in the colon. A healthy body depends on a healthy colon. Colon Essentials assists in speeding up the time that it takes to eliminate digestive food from the body and can help prevent stagnation that can cause gas, bloating and sluggishness.

Colon Essentials can be added to JLB formula or Colon Health if needed for a more intensive cleansing and balancing effect within the colon, allowing the colon to be more absorbent, thus getting better use from the foods, herbs, vitamins and supplements that we ingest.

Ingredients in this formula are:

Psyllium Seeds & Husks: Both have been used around the world to help promote cardiovascular and colon health along with maintaining healthy cholesterol levels. Psyllium is a super source of fiber containing mucilaginous properties. Extra water should be taken as the Psyllium will form a gel (a bulking agent) that acts as a gentle broom to sweep and clean the colon.

Flaxseed: This very special fiber is one of the oldest plants know dating back thousands of years. It contains soluble and insoluble fiber. Flaxseed fiber is very high in isoflavonoids. Its lignans convert to a rich source of beneficial bacteria in the colon.

Guar gum: This is also an important fiber in the colon as it, with water, will thicken, helping with the elimination process. It will also assist with balancing blood sugar levels.

Bentonite: This comes from volcanic ash and is important in this formula because it helps to pull inorganic matter i.e., heavy metals, lead, mercury and food poisoning from the colon wall and acts also as a fiber. A small amount is used for proper cleansing. Bentonite is very effective for skin problems.

Maltodextrin: A soluble fiber that is digested in the lower part of the gut, it is a long chain of glucose molecules joined to each other. It works well in the colon with the probiotics in this formula to digest the glucose. By feeding the beneficial bacteria, it increases the necessary good bacteria in the colon. There may be an increase in gas until the colon is balanced; this should pass in a few days. Maltodextrin and Alginate are ingredients that are important for a healthy colon because they slow down the absorption of different sugars, thus helping to maintain proper transportation of the necessary glucose into the cells. Mannose and Xylitol: These are called saccharides that help and assist the colon fight bad bacteria, viruses, parasites and fungal infections. In addition Xylitol has been proven to retard tooth decay.

Probiotics: We feel these are the most effective on the market. Lactobacilius Acidophilus DDS-1, Bifidobacterium Longum, Bifidobacterium Bifidum, Bifudobaiterium Infantis, and Fructooligosaccharides FOS.

In addition to a complete and comprehensive fiber blend, “Colon Essentials” contains the above proprietary blend of five probiotics to support a healthy immune system. Stress, illnesses, such as colds, flu, virus, chronic fatigue etc. can compromise a healthy colon and immune system. Probiotics help with digestion as well as many other body functions. They help to produce all the “B” vitamins and help maintain proper acid/alkaline balance in the colon.

Beet Root: This is a powerful flavonoid that gently helps detoxify the liver while helping to balance and cleanse the colon.
